Kickin things off

Hows everybody doing out there? Well, here goes nothing. Just wanted to start this blog off right and introduce myself. Im looking forward to the opportunity of hopefully make some fans on this thing haha. We can talk about anything you want to talk about. Just a little brief update on me, I have been having some problems with my right knee since about September last year. I recently had an arthroscopic surgery on it to clean it out a bit and the doctor found some soft cartilage in there that didnt show up on the previous exams. Right now Im continuing to rehab and do everything the trainers tell me to do so that I can play ASAP. I havent been experiencing any relief thus far but am still hoping to turn a corner sometime soon. There is a possibility that if I dont turn that corner soon that I would need further surgery on my knee and would be out for this season. I have never missed time due to injury before this past year so Im chompin at the bit to get back out there. Whatever ends up happening I know that i will come back from this stronger mentally and physically. And I can assure you that from the next time I get to lace up my spikes on, I will be more grateful for the game of baseball and for being healthy every time out there. Well I look forward to hearing some responses from you all.

Hey Dennis,

Nice to see you entering the blog-o-sphere! I am a huge (HUGE) Mariners fan and a avid follower of the minor league system.

There are many of us here in cyberland who are pulling for you and want to see you on the field as soon as possible! I live in Colorado so I wasn’t able to see you play last year, but from all the reports you were an exciting young man to watch!

I know how it goes with knees, I just recently had my left knee replaced and it has been a pain in the … knee to rehab to something close to where I was before the surgery.

Anyway, good luck to you, and everyone in the Seattle blog-o-sphere wishes you a speedy recovery!

Hi Dennis,
I had no idea that you were injured. Keep us posted on the status of your rehab.
Now that April is here we are looking forward to another great Cape league season.
Orleans received a Yawkey grant so we will be making some much needed improvements to Eldridge park including new dugouts, infield improvements, new screens down the foul lines, and a batter’s screen in centerfield among other things.
I assume you know that Tig may be back with the Cardinals this season…sorry, I mean the Firebirds.
Have you seen the new team logos??

hey Dennis,
Hope the rehab goes well. Was really excited about your signing last year. Keep up the plate patience, you have the natural power, but I believe what will get you to the bigs is your OBP. Hope to see you in Tacoma soon since I’m in seattle. good luck Nick

Hi Dennis! I’ve been thinking about those long HR’s you’ve hit. I remember at least 4 parks where they commented that you broke the record. Do you keep track of these. i think it would be interesting to keep. Remember the one in Cape Cod they said they were still looking for the ball in the next town. By the way, thanks for all the memories. We’ve had so much fun. Stay focused on your future. Injuries are part of the game and you’re strong, good genes. Lots of games ahead.
